Can you replace the LED in a flush mount ceiling light?
You can replace the LED only if the flush mount has a socket or a plug-in module the maker still sells. A sealed integrated panel is not a bulb. When that panel or its driver dies, replace the fixture. Do not bypass the driver.
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| E26, E27, E12, or E14 socket | Replace the lamp. Stay at or under the listed wattage. Use an enclosed-rated lamp if the shade is closed. |
| A module with a part number | Order that module only. |
| A sealed disc and no socket | Replace the flush mount. |
